Powercore Electrical is a specialist Electrical, Controls, and Building Management Systems contractor based on Auckland’s North Shore.

We deliver complex commercial and industrial projects throughout Auckland and surrounding regions, specialising in Electrical for Mechanical (E4M), Building Management Systems (BMS), Controls, Automation, HVAC Electrical Systems, and Commercial Electrical Infrastructure.

Your Role Will Include

• Electrical design and engineering for commercial and industrial projects
• Preparation of electrical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and related software
• Developing single line diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, riser diagrams, and installation drawings
• Assisting with Building Management System (BMS) and controls design
• Producing technical submittals, design reports, and engineering calculations
• Reviewing project specifications and consultant documentation
• Assisting with equipment selection and technical procurement
• Supporting project managers with design coordination and project delivery
• Conducting site visits, inspections, and engineering surveys
• Assisting with commissioning and system troubleshooting where required
• Maintaining project documentation and revision control
• Collaborating with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers

What We Need From You

• NZCE, BE Electrical, Electrical Engineering Degree, or equivalent qualification
• Experience using AutoCAD or similar drafting software
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and design principles
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and practical engineering mindset
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• A willingness to learn and continuously improve

Highly Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be a significant advantage:
